You know how little kids stand at the window with their hands and faces pressed up, staring in awe and wonder at whatever is so interesting outside. Well, that's about what I'm doing today from my office...I just want to get outside!
Traditionally, I am a lover of Winter...love the crisp, chill air as it blows everywhere, snuggling on the couch with a blanket and drinking hot chocolate, the smell of a wood burning fireplace (which we don't have here..) and the occasional snow flurry...and when I can get to the mountains, lots of skiing! Now really, I LOVE, love, love snow and would take it as often as every day probably, but that doesn't happen here in TX. What we did get was THREE, I repeat three separate snowfalls here this year. Each one equally exciting, mostly non accumulating, equally satisfying and the last one even stuck around for about 18 hours. Delicious...
But...as much as I love winter, this year, spring is really making me giddy. It's sunny and happy here, in the mid to upper 60's and things are turning green again. I just want to get outside! and stay there. We did a garden makeover this last weekend and the ground is ready to plant, which I hope to get done over a couple of evenings this week. I can't wait for some tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, onions, jalapenos...spicy :) Oh fresh salsa, melt my heart.
Not much else, just enjoying these first few days of spring...even if it is from the inside of my office looking out...and maybe drooling a little :)
