18 Weeks

In an effort to remember some of this pregnancy and what happened at what point, I've decided to start journaling on here because I never write it down in any paper form.  I really don't want to forget all the things my body is doing/how it's changing these next few weeks.  This week especially I've really felt a change in how I look and feel in terms of being pregnant.  We've started taking pictures of the little one expanding my stomach.  One thing I want to note is how excited we're getting. Like really really excited.  We've made some big decisions this week (staying in our current living sitch for another year) and had some pretty good news (yay tax return that's going to pay for the nursery)!  Things are becoming real, and we're stripping a bit more of our selfishness away (still a long way to go) as we get excited about preparing for this little one.  I've spent the last couple weeks doing some spring cleaning. Literally going through boxes of junk and trash and making room for what's to come. We've only been married 3.5 years, but it's amazing how fast stuff accumulates. We're going to be finishing up decorating our bedroom in the next month, and every nook and cranny in our house is going to get organized, sorted and de-junked! It feels so liberating carrying bags of trash out of the house and making big piles to give away/garage sale.

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 18 weeks (baby is the size of a bell pepper)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 8-9lbs (roughly...we don't own a scale)

Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants, but I can still wear some of my non maternity tops and dresses. Maternity is usually most comfortable though.  I went through all of my summer clothes this week and put away everything I'm not going to be able to wear...I'm going to miss some of my summer fav's.

Gender: ???????

Movement: Haven't felt any movement yet (that I know of)

Sleep: Most nights are great but here and there I'll feel tired and not be able to sleep.  I'm now going to the bathroom 1-2 times a night. I hear it only increases.  I've started noticing some restless leg syndrome a few times this week.  I kind of hope this doesn't stick around.

Exercise:  I'm still crossfitting 3-4 times a week.  It's getting harder, and my times are getting slower.

Symptoms: Nothing much yet...I still am pretty tired most days by 9pm. I can tell my belly is growing.  

Cravings: Nothing in particular...I just feel like I'm always hungry.  Salty things sound so good right now...chips and dip, pickles. I'm also loving fresh fruits and chocolate milkshakes.  Things I'm definitely not craving are seafood :( and large portions of beef by themselves (still love it in stuff, just don't want a steak).

Best Moment this week:  Finding out both of my parents are coming to LR in a couple weeks!  I can't wait to see both sets of our parents.  We haven't seen them since Christmas and I'm really missing sharing all these things with them!
